Freeport (NYSE:FCX), Barrick (NYSE:ABX), Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) Soar on Record Gold Prices

The expected response of the market to gold has come about, as gold prices reached all-time records again today, with major miners like Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, (NYSE:FCX), Barrick Gold (NYSE:ABX) and Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) riding the wave with them.

Gold prices today have risen to over $1,380 an ounce, and it looks like there will be another sustainable rather after the Fed announcement they're going to print another $600 billion to throw at the U.S. economy.

Freeport was trading at $102.52, gaining $5.43, or 5.59 percent at 1:30 PM EDT. Barrick was trading at $49.63, increasing by $1.25, or 2.58 percent, and Goldcorp was at $46.12, rising by $1.54, or 3.45 percent.

The U.S. dollar, as expected, dropped again in light of the move by the Federal Reserve.
