iShares Silver Trust Holdings (NYSEArca:SLV), whose largest shareholder is Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), increased its silver backing up the fund by 54.74 metric tons, according to the website of the company.
That brings the total to 10.773.56 metric tons backing the fund as of November 16.
Volume on Tuesday soared by more than double its 3-month average of 19,271,600, to 43,522,071.
Bank of America added another 4.6 million shares last quarter to bring their total to 12.3 million.
iShares closed Tuesday at $24.93, ending the session even for the day.
