Amazon.com Expands Distribution Network to Tennessee

Amazon.com says they've reached a deal with the state of Tennessee to expand the distribution network by adding two facilities in the eastern part of the state.

Approximately 1,400 full-time jobs will be added to the region as a result.

Amazon will invest about $139 million to build the two facilities, which will be located in Chattanooga and Bradley county, which is close to the city.

Estimated time for the distribution centers to be operational will be in time for next Christmas shopping season.

Amazon.com had its EPS and price target raised by Barclays (NYSE:BCS) today, with their price target being set at $195, increasing it from the previous $180.

Amazon was trading at $179.07, up $1.49, or 0.84 percent, as of 11:29 AM EST.
