Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) CEO Brian Moynihan continues with his propensity to promote former peers at FleetBoston Financial Corp. to important positions at BofA, the latest being Katy Knox, who will oversee all the branches and ATMs of the financial giant.
Mark Hogan reportedly left Bank of America upon the promotion of Knox. Hogan had been the retail head on the East Coast.
A report from the Wall Street Journal noted other former executives from FleetBoston who have been promoted at Bank of America, including Lauren Mogensen, Bank of America's deputy general counsel and corporate secretary, Mike Lyons, head of strategy and Terry Laughlin, a major mortgage executive.
Another move in the ongoing executive shuffle was with Dean Athanasia, who was moved from the wealth management segment of the company to the consumer unit of the bank.
For Knox, she will be responsible for about 18,000 ATMs and 5,900 bank branches.
