Reports are coming out that Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT) will introduce a large number and variety of tablets at the Consumer Electronics Show in early January.
Last year CEO Steve Ballmer and Microsoft left consumers disappointed in the tables segment, but could leave a much better impression this year, which may result in sales taking off for them.
Included in some of the tablets will be what is described as a nice looking keyboard which will slide out from under a tablet from Samsung.
Catering to their strength, Microsoft will also focus more on offering tablets with more business features and applications, which could help them increase share in the sector.
Microsoft was trading at $27.67, up $0.42, or 1.56 percent, as of 2:24 PM EST.
