Microvision's (NASDAQ:MVIS) Pico Projectors in Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone Unlikely Says Stifel

Conjecture by Ticonderoga on Friday that Microvision's (NASDAQ:MVIS) pico projectors could be part of the next generation Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone pushed the share price of the stock up, although Stifel Nicolaus analsyt Doug Reid responded saying it is unlikely pico projectors will be part of iPhone 5.

Reid said in a note to clients, “One of the multiple reports published today (Friday) speculates that Microvision technology could be used in iPhone 5, a scenario we believe is highly unlikely.”

Reid added that he doesn't see pico projectors being part of any gadgets, including smartphones, before 2012.

Microvision closed Friday at $1.57, up by $0.13, or 9.03 percent. They traded as high as $2.14 on the day.
