Verizon (NYSE:VZ) Could Sell 9 Million to 19 Million Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhones

There is a wide disparity in the sales projections of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhones with Verizon (NYSE:VZ), as Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster stated they could sell anywhere from 9 million units to 19 million units.

The reason for the wide range is the assumption it will be as popular on Verizon as it is on AT&T (NYSE:T). While that's not necessarily a big assumption, it is still unproven, but is probable.

What is more disruptive in the figures is the unknown time-frame the iPhone will be released on the Verizon network. That will determine the number of iPhone units sold by Verizon in 2011 more than anything else.

If it's early enough in the year then the 19 million figure could be reached.

Verizon closed Wednesday at $34.63, down $0.04, or 0.12 percent. Apple closed at $320.36, up $0.07, or 0.02 percent.
