Don Suttles, who led the BP (NYSE:BP) response team during the Gulf of Mexico oil spill crisis, announced he is retiring.
Suttles is the chief operating officer for exploration and production at BP.
Suttles worked for BP for 22 years.
BP closed Wednesday at $47.69, gaining $0.86, or 1.84 percent.
