With the cost of converting XenApp customers over to XenDesktop rising significantly, Jefferies said Citrix Systems (NASDAQ:CTXS) could generate an additional $1.9 billion over the lifetime of the change.
Jefferies said, "the conversion of existing XenApp customers over to XenDesktop could generate an additional $1.9Bn in revenue for Citrix over the lifetime."
According to Jefferies, the prior XenApp to Xen Desktop trade-up program was about 5 percent more expensive than its predecessor. The new product will cost from 10 percent to 25 percent more.
Jefferies reiterates a "Buy" rating on Citrix Systems, which closed Tuesday at $67.89, down $0.16, or 0.24 percent. Jefferies raised their price target on Citrix from $70 to $79.
