Netflix (Nasdaq:NFLX), F5 Networks (Nasdaq:FFIV) and Cummins (NYSE:CMI) were the top performers on the S&P 500 in 2010, with Netflix and Cummins being added a couple of weeks before the end of the year, helping boost the index to its second straight positive year, although generating some doubt as to the integrity of the index.
Netflix ended the year up 226.4 percent, trading from a range of $48.52 to $209.24. F5 Networks ended the year up $150 percent, with a trading range of $47.11 to $143.75. Cummins was just behind at a 140.2 percent gain, with a trading range on the year of $44.84 to $111.87.
Netflix closed the year off at $175.70, down on Friday by $4.10, or 2.28 percent. F5 Networks ended the year at $130.16, down $2.25 on Friday, or 1.70 percent. Cummins closed out at $110.01, down $0.15, or 0.14, on Friday.
