The market shrugged off the earnings miss by AsiaInfo-Linkage (NASDAQ:ASIA), which beat revenue estimates in the fourth quarter.
Under normal conditions companies are penalized more for an earnings miss than a revenue miss.
AsiaInfo-Linkage also announced they had authorized a share buyback program of $60 million.
AsiaInfo closed Monday at $21.46, gaining $3.05, or 16.57.
