Ford's (NYSE:F) Recall Nightmare Continues

In the one nightmare scenario for Ford Motor (F) we've been talking about for some time which could slow down the advance of the automaker, appears to have happened, as a series of announcements concerning recalls has jettisoned into an avalanche, the latest announced today being the recall of 144,000 F-150 pickups.

This is too bad for the company, who has become a sentimental favorite because they took the right steps and more difficult path in choosing to fore-go being bailed out by the government.

It's also unfortunate in that it takes away from the solid line of vehicles the company is unveiling in 2011.

The recall this time around is in reference to possible safety issues with the airbags of the F-150 trucks made in 2005 and 2006 for the North America market.

This is the second recall this month for the F-150, which had problems identified with a defect in a door handle which could have allowed the door of the trucks to open in the case of a side-impact crash.
