Weather Weighing on Halliburton (NYSE:HAL), Shares Drop

The share price of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) is under pressure today as weather impact on the performance of the company weighs it down.

Halliburton Chief Financial Officer Mark McCollum said at the Credit Suisse Energy Summit, "Seasonal impacts on the first quarter may be more significant than we've seen last year. It's just something that really is outside of ours or competitors control, we will deal with it."

Other negative disruptions were noted, as "the political unrest in North Africa has been a disruption to operations last week," added McCollum. The disruptions came from the company pulling workers out of the region.

Halliburton was trading at $44.51, down $1.67, or 3.62 percent, as of 1:13 PM EST.
