Google (GOOG) (AAPL) (DIS) (AMZN) (MSFT) Top Employment Choices of Young Professionals

The top choices of private companies young professionals want to work at are in order: Google (Nadaq:GOOG), Apple (Nasdaq:AAPL), The Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS), Amazon.com (Nasdaq:AMZN), and Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT).

Other top choices not in the private sector include the U.S. Department of State, the FBI, the CIA, NASA and Teach for America.

According to consultant firm Universum, which performed the survey including 10,306 college graduates with one to eight years of work experience, Google accounted for approximately 25 percent of those young professionals seeking employment. Apple was next with about half that number; but combined coming not too far under 40 percent of the total.

Survey respondents said they in general prefer to work at firms they like as consumers, seem financially strong and can offer job stability.
