TPC Group (TPCG) Names Michael T. McDonnell as CEO

TPC Group Inc. (Nasdaq:TPCG), a global producer of specialized lines of chemical products to chemical and petroleum based companies, announced it has named Michael T. McDonnell to be the new new President and Chief Executive Officer. He will also serve on the board of directors as well, all effective March 22, 2011. He replaces Charlie Shaver in the above positions.

McDonnell, 53, formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Pregis Corporation, one of the top global providers of innovative protective, flexible, and food service packaging and hospital supply products.

TPC Group closed Friday at $26.82, up $0.03, or 0.11 percent.
