Wal-Mart (WMT) Lands (WWE) (VIV) Distribution Deal

Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) announced it has entered into a deal with World Wresting Entertainment Inc. (NYSE:WWE) and Vivendi Entertainment to be the exclusive retail distributor of for WWE Studio's films.

Vivendi has been retained by WWE to be its North American retail and rental distribution partner.

Whether DVD or Blu-ray, Wal-Mart will be the sole distributor of five WWE Studios' films for the first 90 days of release through 2012.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

World Wresting Entertainment closed Tuesday at $12.13, gaining $0.08, or 0.66 percent. Wal-Mart closed at $52.00 even, up $0.08, or 0.15 percent.
