The president of operations at First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR), Bruce Sohn, is leaving the company at the of April, with the company saying there are no plans to replace him.
Announcing they won't replace Sohn speaks to the probability the manufacturing technology of the company has been completed and there is no need to put someone in that position again.
Expectations are Sohn will eventually step back into the solar arena, although a possible no-compete agreement could put some restrictions on that.
with hi specialty of being able to successfully develop a reliable manufacturing process in the industry, he would easily find himself courted by other companies, possibly stepping into a CEO position.
First Solar closed Wednesday at $144.73, gaining $1.08, or 0.75 percent.
