Ford (NYSE:F) director of global marketing, sales and service, and company heir Elena Ford, was arrested for drunk driving and endangering the life of a minor.
The minor was her son, who when questioned by the officer making the arrest how old he was, replied he was 11.
According to the police report, Elena Ford registered a blood alcohol level of 0.14 percent, far over the 0.08 Michigan legal limit.
"As this is a personal matter, we would not comment on personal matters involving any employee," said a company spokesman.
Elena Ford, whose great-great-grandfather was company founder Henry Ford, faces a hearing on April 28. Nobody was injured in the event.
