Intermec Inc. (NYSE:IN) CEO and president Patrick Byrne has been named to the board of directors of Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU).
According to Micron when they released the news, Byrne will joint the board immediately.
Intermec is a supply chain management firm which Byrne has headed since July 2007. He has also worked for Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) and Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A) for 24 years before that.
Byrne sits on two other boards as well, including Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University and Flow International.
Micron closed Thursday at $11.14, falling $0.10, or 0.89 percent.
