Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) Chief Executive Officer James Gorman received overall compensation in 2010 of $15.2 million, according to a required filing.
Based on a compensation forumula of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, that's a 134 percent increase over the $6.5 million Gorman garnered in 2009.
Including the same formula, Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) CEO Lloyd Blankfein was awarded a total of $14.1 million.
In 2010 Gorman led Morgan Stanley to earnings of $4.7 billion. Morgan Stanley reports its earnings next Thursday, with analysts looking for 31 cents a share.
Morgan Stanley closed Thursday at $26.79, the same as the day before.
