Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) competitor Pandora has been subpoenaed in a federal investigation in reference to the sharing of personal information via smartphone apps, according to an SEC filing.
Apps in question operated on Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android and Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone platforms.
Pandora responded to the news saying there weren't a specific target in the investigation but part of an overall investigation of the industry in regard to the issue.
Evidently other subpoenas have been issued in relationship to the federal investigation, but haven't been identified or confirmed at this time.
