Yamana Gold, Inc. (AUY) rewarded shareholders with another nice quarterly dividend increase, declaring a dividend of $0.045 a share,, a 50 percent boost over what it paid prior to the declaration.
Since the beginning of 2010, Yamana has now raised its dividend four times to raise it by 350 percent during that period of time.
Gold miners have increasingly increased dividends to attract a broader base of shareholder to the company.
Along with gold, the company also mines for copper and silver.
Even though gold prices rose on Tuesday, Yamana didn't participate in the move, as it closed at $11.89, falling $0.05, or 0.42 percent.
