Ross (ROST) (SIMO) (SLE) (TEN) (RDC) (RDK) Ratings, Price Targets

Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROST), Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: SIMO), Sara Lee (NYSE: SLE), Tenneco Inc. (NYSE: TEN), Rowan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: RDC) and Ruddick Corporation (NYSE: RDK) had ratings and price targets on them adjusted by analysts.

Ross Stores, Inc. (ROST) had its price target raised by FBR Capital from $57.00 to $60.00. They have an “Outperform” rating on the company.

Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (SIMO) had its price target raised by Needham & Company from $25.00 to $30.00. They have a “Buy” rating on the company.

Sara Lee (SLE) had its price target raised by Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB)to $20.00.

Tenneco Inc. (TEN) had its price target lowered by Deutsche Bank to $40.00.

Rowan Companies, Inc. (RDC) was upgraded by Global Hunter Securities from an “Accumulate” rating to a “Buy” rating. They have a price target of $46.00 on the company, up from $36.00.

Ruddick Corporation (RDK) was upgraded by BB&T (NYSE:BBT) from a “Hold” rating to a “Buy” rating.

Microsoft (MSFT) (AMZN) (CSCO) (INTC) (AAPL) Leading NASDAQ Back Up

Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon.com (AMZN), Cisco Systems (CSCO), Intel (INTC) and Apple (AAPL) pushing NASDAQ up after the tech sector took a pounding yesterday.

Tech stock futures are also enjoying a resurgence, with the Nasdaq 100 rising from the close yesterday of $2060.29, to 2067.50 for the September contract. Even so, it has started to pull back as the trading day continues.

The biggest gainers in tech so far today are NXP Semiconductors (NXPI), which was trading at $16.05, soaring $2.02, or 14.40 percent, as of 11:10 AM EDT. Silicon Motion (SIMO) was trading at $9.64, climbing $1.28, or 15.31. LCD maker Universal Display (PANL) is leading the way for tech, jumping to $28.71, up $5.91, or 25.92 percent.

Other major techs like IBM (IMB) and Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) are also trading higher.

The NASDAQ is up about 3 percent so far on the day.

Price Targets on (PPL) (PTEN) (RA) (RAS) (SIMO) Updated by Analysts

PPL Co. (NYSE: PPL), Patterson-UTI (NASDAQ: PTEN), RailAmerica, Inc. (NYSE: RA), RAIT Financial Trust (NYSE: RAS) and Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: SIMO) get price targets updated today by analysts.

Jefferies (NYSE:JEF) raised their price target on PPL Co. (PPL) from $30.00 to $32.00.

Dahlman Rose raised their price target on Patterson-UTI (PTEN) from $34.00 to $40.00. They have a “buy” rating on the company.

Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) raised their price target on RailAmerica, Inc. (RA) to $16.00. They have a “hold” rating on the company.

FBR Capital raised their price target on RAIT Financial Trust (RAS) from $1.50 to $2.50. They have a “market perform” rating on the company.

Wedbush raised their price target on Silicon Motion Technology Corp. (SIMO) from $7.50 to $12.00. They have an “outperform” rating on the company.
