Even though Caris & Co. analyst Robert Cihra sees Apple Inc.'s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone and Google Inc.'s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android dominating the smartphone market, he also believes Research in Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ:RIMM) positioned in a way that supports a “Unique Value-added Niche.”
Cihra said he thinks the company quarterly report next week will be in line with expectations, and should reveal solid sales of the BlackBerry Torch globally.
Caris maintains their "Buy" rating on Research in Motion, which closed Thursday at $61.29, down $0.08, or 0.13 percent. They raised their price target on them from $70 to $75.
