Endo Pharmaceuticals (ENDP) (IACI) (CLUB) (TSM) Get Ratings Upgrades
InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ:IACI), Endo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ENDP), Town Sports International (NASDAQ:CLUB) and Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) all received ratings upgrades from various brokerages today.
InterActiveCorp (IACI) was upgraded by Citigroup (NYSE:C) from "Hold" to "Buy."
Endo Pharmaceuticals (ENDP) was added to the "Top Picks Live List" of Citigroup.
Town Sports International (CLUB) was upgraded from "Hold" to "Buy" at ThinkEquity.
Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), whas was jumping today and getting a lot of trading volume, was added to Goldman Sachs' (NYSE:GS) "Conviction Buy list." They were trading at $13.21, gaining $0.65, or 5.18 percent, as of 2:28 PM EDT.

Endo (ENDP) Bids $2.9b for (AMMD)
Shares of American Medical Systems (NASDAQ:AMMD) are skyrocketing on news Endo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ENDP) made a bid of $30 a share for the company.
According to Endo, once the deal is closed it will increase the diversification of the company in services and medical devices. Combined revenue of the new entity will be approximately $3 billion.
American Medical will add products and services in gynecology and urology to Endo's drugs which treat cancer, pain and low testosterone.
The deal is expected to close in the latter part of the third quarter.
Endo was trading at $42.34, gaining $1.49, or 3.65 percent, as of 12:26 PM EDT. AMMD was trading at $29.46, up $7.13, or 31.93 percent.

Endo Pharmaceuticals' (NASDAQ:ENDP) Fortesta, Opana ER, Should Stabilize Company
Endo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ENDP) should be driven strongly on the approval of Fortesta and Opana ER, bringing stability to the overall business, according to Duncan Williams.
They said, "We remain bullish on the two pending catalysts for Fortesta (testosterone replacement) and 'crush-proof' Opana ER (pain). We believe that approval of these products should provide reassurance regarding management's execution and the stability of the overall business. We have also updated our model for the Qualitest acquisition, the latest IMS data, and the updated guidance. Our 2010 estimates are meaningfully above Consensus."
Duncan Williams maintains a "Strong Buy" on Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc., which closed Tuesday at $35.21, down $0.29, or 0.82 percent. Duncan has a price target of $46 on them.
