Big Movers (WLT) (MHK) (BLK) (BAP) (VRUS) on May 6

Among the big, positive movers on Friday, May 6, were Precision Castparts (PCP), Tele Celular Sul Par (TSU), Faro Technologies (FARO), Intercontinentalexchange (ICE) and Enpro Industries (NPO).

Precision Castparts (PCP) jumped $3.81, to close at $157.78, a gain of 2.47 percent.

Tele Celular Sul Par (TSU) was up $3.75 on the day to close at $47.43, a gain of 8.59 percent.

Faro Technologies (FARO) climbed $3.67 to close at $43.04, a gain of 9.32 percent.

Intercontinentalexchange (ICE) rose $3.54 to close the session at $117.60, a gain of 3.10 percent.

Enpro Industries (NPO) was up $3.48 to end the day at $42.89, a gain of 8.83 percent.

Ratings on (EQIX) (FARO) (FMC) (G) (ICFI) Upgraded

Ratings on Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ: EQIX), FARO Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: FARO), FMC Corp. (NYSE: FMC), Genpact Limited (NYSE: G) and ICF International, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICFI) were upgraded by analysts today.

Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE:WFC) upgraded Equinix, Inc. (EQIX) from a “market perform” rating to an “outperform” rating.

Robert W. Baird upgraded FARO Technologies Inc (FARO) from a “neutral” rating to an “outperform” rating. They have a price target of $48.00 on the company, up from $40.00.

First Analysis upgraded shares of FMC Corp. (FMC) to an “overweight” rating.

Robert W. Baird upgraded Genpact Limited (G) from a “neutral” rating to an “outperform” rating. They have a price target of $19.00 on the company, up from $17.00.

Raymond James (NYSE:RFJ) upgraded ICF International, Inc. (ICFI) from a “market perform” rating to an “outperform” rating.

Price Targets on (ACE) (BMC) (DPZ) (FARO) (FSYS) Updated

ACE Ltd (NYSE: ACE), BMC Software, Inc. (NYSE: BMC), Domino’s Pizza, Inc. (NYSE: DPZ), FARO Technologies Inc (NASDAQ: FARO) and Fuel Systems Solutions (NASDAQ: FSYS) had price targets updated.

Barclays Capital raised their price target on ACE Ltd (ACE) from $68.00 to $73.00. They have an “overweight” rating on the company.

Barclays Capital raised their price target on BMC Software, Inc. (BMC) from $54.00 to $58.00. They have an “overweight” rating on the company.

Feltl & Co. raised their price target on Domino’s Pizza, Inc. (DPZ) from $20.00 to $24.00. They have a “buy” rating on the company.

Needham & Company raised their price target on FARO Technologies Inc (FARO) from $42.00 to $47.00. They have a “buy” rating on the company.

Northland Securities raised their price target on Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) from $25.00 to $30.00. They have a “market perform” rating on the company.

Brush Engineered Materials (BW), Faro (FARO), Polypore International (PPO), Kadant (KAI) Shares Skyrocket

Shares of Brush Engineered Materials (NYSE:BW), Faro (NASDAQ:FARO), Polypore International (NYSE:PPO) and Kadant (NYSE:KAI) all soared Thursday, even as the Dow plummeted for the third day in a row.

Brush Engineered Materials generated net income of $12.6 million, or $0.61 a diluted share for the fourth quarter, which is equal to a net loss of $3.6 million, or $0.18 a share in the fourth quarter last year. BW ended Thursday up 20.43 percent.

Polypore International (PPO) said revenue jumped 12 percent to $169.5 million and adjusted EPS was up 17% to $0.42. Polypore closed Thursday at $56.53, up $7.00, or 14.13 percent.

FARO Technologies (FARO) generated fiscal 2010 sales of $191.8 million, an increase of 29.9%, compared to fiscal 2009 sales of $147.7 million. Net income was $11.1 million compared to net loss of $10.6 million in fiscal 2009. FARO closed at $35.19, gaining $5.35, or 17.93 percent.

Kadant's (KAI) revenue rose to $73.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2010, an increase of $16.5 million, or 29 percent, compared with $56.8 million in the same quarter of 2009. Net income was $5.1 million in the fourth quarter, or $.41 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $1.7 million, or $.14 per diluted share, in the same quarter last year.

Kadant closed Thursday at $23.89, gaining $3.08, or 14.80 percent.
