In the battle of perceptions concerning WikiLeaks, Google (Nasdaq:GOOG) has decided to keep its WikiLeaks App while Apple (Nasdaq:AAPL) has decided to drop it.
The applications used for WikiLeaks allows users to access the material from the website of WikiLeaks.
Google has about half a dozen apps on its Android Marketplace which can be used to easily tap into the content.
One of the Google apps is powerful in that it gives an alert anytime a new document from the WikiLeak stash is made available online.
Apple has already generated anger from proponents of WikiLeaks, and questions as to whether or not they will come under cyber attack have already been raised, and are probable.
Companies like Visa (NYSE:V), Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) and Amazon.com (Nasdaq:AMZN) have already cut services used for WikiLeaks.
