Coeur d'Alene Mines (CDE) Falls Along with Silver Prices

Shares of Coeur d'Alene Mines (NYSE:CDE) traded down Monday as silver and gold prices fell slightly on the trading day.

Silver prices ended the day down 88 cents to close at $34.13 an ounce.

Gold for June delivery shed $3 to close at $1,490.60 at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The gold price Monday traded in a range of a low of $1,486 and a high of $1,504.30.

The U.S. dollar index fell 0.43 percent to $75.38.

The euro strengthened as Monday trading went on, putting pressure on the U.S. dollar.

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation participates in the operation, ownership, exploration, development, and mining of silver and gold properties in the United States, South America, Mexico and Australia.

Coeur d'Alene Mines (CDE) closed Monday at $25.06, dropping $0.19, or 0.75 percent.
