In January 2011, Ford (NYSE:F) will reportedly give the public its first look at their news sport utility vehicle concept, which will ultimately replace its Ford Escape and Ford Kuga, the latter being the European version of the vehicle.
An unnamed source revealed the info, and said plans are for it to begin production sometime in the second half of 2012. selling as a 2013 model in the U.S.
Kuga is part of Ford's global C architecture, which will have 10 Ford models based upon it, which started earlier in 2010 with the C-Max wagon.
Approximately 2 million automobiles a year will be built off the architecture.
Ford closed Wednesday at $16.69, up $0.13, or 0.79 percent.
